My summarised view on those forms…
I have written a simple article about these forms in another social media, but here we go:
I don’t don’t think we should be doing these forms by ourselves. This type of task should be a joint effort which should include other disciples too.
The construction industry through some specific organisation(s) seemed to have thrown this responsibility to us and naively, with all my respects to some of my colleagues, but some (self-employed) engineers are doing these simplistic forms (which in my view is diminishing our job to a few pages form, almost in a check-list format) without even carrying out intrusive surveys. In some other cases, employed engineers are obligated to do these forms by their employers, usually small/medium consultancies or larger consultancies driven by non-technical people. In both cases, I do have mixed feelings: I have sympathy for my fellow engineers, and I don’t have neither. Tricky one.
Well, overall, I think this can be a recipe for disaster!
It is a shame that we are in the state we are now. Terrible situation for the flat buyers and challenging situation for some employed engineers; profitable situation for some greedy self-employed cowboys and convenient situation for some big companies and insurers.

Engineering is NOT a check-list task!
This type of phenomenon is highly non-linear, therefore we MUST NOT be simplistic in our analysis in a linear way.
